Nous devons nous considérer nous-mêmes comme les pires coupables, pardonner au prochain toute transgression et haïr seulement le démon qui l'a tenté. Il peut nous sembler parfois que l'autre fait mal, tandis qu'en réalité, à cause de son intention qui est bonne, il fait bien. La porte du repentir est ouverte à tous, et on ne sait pas qui y entrera le premier – toi qui juges, ou celui qui est jugé par toi. […] Juge-toi toi-même, et tu cesseras de juger les autres.
Le Christ nous demande donc deux choses : condamner nos péchés, pardonner ceux des autres, faire la première chose à cause de la seconde, qui sera alors plus facile, car celui qui pense à ses péchés sera moins sévère pour son compagnon de misère. Et pardonner non seulement de bouche, mais « du fond du coeur », pour ne pas tourner contre nous-mêmes le fer dont nous croyons percer les autres. Quel mal peut te faire ton ennemi, qui soit comparable à celui que tu te fais toi-même ?… Si tu te laisses aller à l'indignation et à la colère, tu seras blessé non par l'injure qu'il t'a faite, mais par le ressentiment que tu en as.
Ne dis donc pas : « Il m'a outragé, il m'a calomnié, il m'a fait quantité de misères. » Plus tu dis qu'il t'a fait du mal, plus tu montres qu'il t'a fait du bien, puisqu'il t'a donné occasion de te purifier de tes péchés. Ainsi, plus il t'offense, plus il te met en état d'obtenir de Dieu le pardon de tes fautes. Car si nous le voulons, personne ne pourra nous nuire ; même nos ennemis nous rendent ainsi un grand service… Considère donc combien tu retires d'avantages d'une injure soufferte humblement et avec douceur.
Ecoutons le prophète :
Je ne veux pas Sa loi. Je ne veux pas Sa justice. Je désire la miséricorde. C'est mon cri: "o Dieu, ne me juge pas, mais aies pitié de moi. Ne me donne pas la justice; je suis condamné. Mais donne-moi la miséricorde par Jésus-Christ.

Si un homme vient avec un grand don, peu importe s'il appartient à notre dénomination ou une autre dénomination, ne le jugez pas par la dénomination d'où il vient, comment il s'habille, mais ce que vous voulez voir, c'est ce qu'il essaie de faire avec ce don, quel but il a. S'il essaie de prendre son influence et de se construire un grand nom... j'ai assez de discernement d'esprit pour savoir que c'est faux .../... s'il n'essaie pas d'accomplir quelque chose pour le bénéfice du corps de Christ, votre propre discernement spirituel vous dirait que c'est faux. Combien c'est précis, parfait, c'est faux si ce n'est pas utilisé pour le corps de Jésus Christ.

Exhortation
Ainsi, je me tiendrai sur ma révélation : "Dieu m'a révélé que je suis son enfant. Je ne me laisserai juger par personne et je m'engage à ne juger personne. Je marche avec Jésus de tout mon coeur."
Mieux vaut se confier en Dieu plutôt qu'aux hommes... Si par malheur tu t'es confié dans les hommes et dans leurs lois, tu devras te contenter de ce que leurs lois te donneront ! Mais ne viens pas ensuite te réclamer de la loi de Dieu... Alors, repens-toi et confie-toi en l'Eternel !
C'est pourquoi je mettrai ma confiance en Dieu et dans Sa grâce. Car devant les hommes et auprès du Père, Il est mon avocat.
